About Us

Contemporary Oral Hygiene, a peer-reviewed continuing education Web site, provides dental hygienists with practical, clinical articles that will aid them in their professional development. The mission of the site is to empower hygienists through education and innovation.

On December 20, 2007, AEGIS Communications, LLC, completed the acquisition of The Compendium of Continuing Education in Dentistry, Contemporary Esthetics, Contemporary Dental Assisting, and additional titles and assets under the Dental Learning Systems group from Ascend Media.

In addition to the newly acquired titles, AEGIS publishes Inside Dentistry, Functional Esthetics & Restorative Dentistry, The Middle East Journal of Oral Health, Dentistry India, Advanced Esthetics & Interdisciplinary Dentistry and custom clinical and educational programs for the oral care markets.
